2018 Arnold Palmer Cup
The 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup was a team golf competition held from 6–8 July 2018 at Evian Resort Golf Club, Évian-les-Bains, France. It was the 22nd time the event had been contested and the first under a new format in which women golfers played in addition to men and an international team, representing the rest of the world, replaced the European team. The United States won the match 38½–21½. Format The contest was played over three days. On Friday, there were 12 mixed four-ball matches. On Saturday there were 12 mixed foursomes matches in the morning and 12 fourball matches in the afternoon, six all-women matches and six all-men matches. 24 singles matches were played on Sunday. In all, 60 matches were played. Each of the 60 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. Evian Resort Golf Club
Evian Resort Golf Club is a golf course in southeastern France, located in Évian-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie. Overlooking Lake Geneva, it hosts The Evian Championship, formerly "Evian Masters," annually in September. Jennifer Kupcho
Jennifer Anne Kupcho (born May 14, 1997) is an American professional golfer. Amateur career As a junior at Wake Forest University, she was named the winner of the Honda Sports Award for golf. As a senior, Kupcho won the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur in 2019. She also won the 2018 NCAA Division I Golf Championship. Kupcho was the number one ranked women's amateur golfer in the world for a total of 34 weeks, rising to the top on three occasions, the first time on July 11, 2018. UNLV Rebels
The UNLV Rebels are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I (Football Bowl Subdivision for college football) as a member of the Mountain West Conference. The school's colors are scarlet and gray. It was founded in 1958 for basketball in Paradise, Nevada. It did not have a nickname for Nevada Southern at the time from 1958 to 1968. Sophia Marie Schubert (born January 31, 1996) is an American professional golfer. Education Schubert majored in Sport management at the University of Texas. Amateur career Schubert won the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur, defeating the number-3 ranked amateur player in the world and former Olympian, Albane Valenzuela, in the final.
