2018 Arkansas Razorbacks Baseball Team
The 2018 Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team (variously the OmaHogs or the Diamond Hogs) represented the University of Arkansas in baseball at the Division I level in the NCAA for the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball season. They played their home games at Baum Stadium and are coached by Dave van Horn. They finished as the national runner-up after falling to Oregon State in three games at the 2018 College World Series. Dave Van Horn
David Kevin Van Horn (born September 17, 1960) is an American baseball coach and former infielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Playing career Born in Stanton, California, Van Horn graduated from Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1979. He then played junior college baseball at McLennan Community College in Texas for two years, earning all-conference and all-region honors as a freshman, while helping the Highlanders finish third in the JUCO World Series. His next season brought more individual and team success, as the team finished eighth in the nation and Van Horn earned All American and Region 5 Player of the Year accolades. Turning down the Chicago White Sox, who drafted him, he transferred to Arkansas for the 1982 season. Cypress, California
Cypress is a city in northwestern Orange County within Southern California. Its population was 50,151 at the 2020 census. History The first people living in the area now known as Cypress were the Gabrieleno, a Native American tribe of the Tongva people, who were displaced soon after the arrival of the Europeans. The government of Spain then possessed the land until Mexico gained its independence in 1821. Mexico then lost Alta California to the United States during the period following the Bear Flag Revolt and the Mexican–American War. Lee's Summit is a city located within the counties of Jackson (primarily) and Cass in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. Trophy Club is a suburb of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. When established in the 1970s, it was one of the earliest premier planned communities in Texas, built around the only golf course designed by Ben Hogan. Lonoke () is the second most populous city in Lonoke County, Arkansas, United States, and serves as its county seat. According to 2010 United States Census, the population of the city is 4,245. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Lonoke's history begins with the advance of Union troops through Central Arkansas during the American Civil War.
