2018 Argentine Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2018 Argentine Republic motorcycle Grand Prix was the second round of the 2018 MotoGP season. It was held at the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo in Santiago del Estero on 8 April 2018. In the MotoGP class, Jack Miller scored his first MotoGP pole position. The race started on wet tyres, and drivers were obliged to swap bikes to slick tyres mid-race in the flag-to-flag rule. Cal Crutchlow took Honda's 750th victory and became the first non-factory rider to lead the championship since Sete Gibernau in the 2004 Catalan Grand Prix, as well as the first British rider to lead the championship since Barry Sheene in 1979. Repsol Honda failed to score for the first time since the previous year's event. Tony Arbolino (born 3 August 2000) is an Italian motorcycle racer. Career Moto3 World Championship Sic58 Squadra Corse (2017) He was signed up to race in the Moto3 World Championship for the SIC58 Squadra Corse team for 2017. He scored two points in the whole season, ending up 34th in the standings. Esteve "Tito" Rabat Bergada (born 25 May 1989) is a Spanish motorcycle racer. He is best known for winning the 2014 Moto2 World Championship. Rabat then made the move to MotoGP in 2016 and spent five full-time seasons there, before moving to the Superbike World Championship in 2021. 2018 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 2018 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 70th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Marc Márquez entered the season as the reigning champion, with Repsol Honda being the reigning team champions and Honda the reigning constructors' champions. Originally scheduled for 19 races, the season was reduced by one Grand Prix due to the cancellation of the 26 August Silverstone event due to unsafe track conditions involving standing water after a rider vote.
