2018 American Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Season
The 2018 American Athletic Conference men's soccer season was the 6th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The season began on August 24 and concluded on November 11, 2018. The regular season was won by UCF, who finished conference play with a 5–1–1 record, and won on tiebreakers against SMU. SMU won the American Tournament, defeating UCF 5–4 in penalty kicks following a 1–1 draw in regulation and overtime. SMU earned the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, while UCF and Connecticut received at-large berths into the tournament. In the NCAA Tournament, SMU lost in the first round to Oregon State. Connecticut beat rivals, Rhode Island, in the first round, before losing to Indiana in the second round. 2019 MLS SuperDraft
The 2019 MLS SuperDraft was the twentieth SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The SuperDraft is typically held in conjunction with the annual January United Soccer Coaches convention, which in 2019 was held in Chicago, Illinois. The first two rounds of the 2019 SuperDraft were held on January 11, 2019. Rounds three and four were held via conference call on January 14, 2019. Tom McIntosh (soccer)
Tom McIntosh is the head men's soccer coach at the University of Tulsa. He has coached the team since 1995, and has posted a 167–108–23 career record, making him the school's all-time winningest coach. He has posted ten 10 win seasons, including a school record 16 in 2008. The 2008 squad saw the team reach a school record national ranking of 5. He has led Tulsa to three consecutive Conference USA regular season and tournament titles the past three seasons. He has led the team to the NCAA tournament in three out of the past five seasons. Philadelphia KiXX
The Philadelphia KiXX was a professional indoor soccer team based in Philadelphia, USA. The team competed as an NPSL expansion franchise and then played in the Major Indoor Soccer League. History The team's original owner was Ed Tepper, also president of Tepper Properties Inc, had been one of the co-founders of the original MISL. In 2001, the KiXX along with five other NPSL franchises founded the new Major Indoor Soccer League. They were originally sponsored by Oki Data Americas. The KiXX won the first MISL championship (2001–02 season) over the Milwaukee Wave 2 games to 1 (4–11, 11–4, 8–6) in the best of three game championship series. Dave MacWilliams (last name also spelled McWilliams) (born May 20, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a retired American soccer forward and head coach who played professionally in the North American Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. He is also the former head coach of the Temple University men's soccer team. Player Youth In 1975, MacWilliams graduated attended from Frankford High School where he had led the Pioneers to two Philadelphia Public League and City Championships. The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's soccer team represents Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida in all NCAA Division I men's soccer competitions. Bob Butehorn
Robert "Bob" Butehorn (born 1960) is an American soccer coach who currently coaches the South Florida Bulls men's soccer program. Butehorn attended the University of Tampa, where he was part of the team's 1981 NCAA Division II Soccer Championship run. He previously served as the head coach for the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's soccer program. At Tampa, Butehorn earned a Bachelor's degree in sports science. He earned his Master of Science in Sports Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Butehorn's coaching career began as an assistant to the Maryland Terrapins men's soccer program. Butehorn became the head coach for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies men's soccer program in 1995, where he coached them until 1999. The SMU Mustangs men's soccer team represents Southern Methodist University in men's college soccer. The team currently competes in The American Athletic Conference. Richard Mulrooney
Richard Mulrooney (born November 3, 1976) is an American former soccer player. He is the current men's soccer coach at the University of Memphis. Career College Mulrooney played four years of college soccer at Creighton University, where he recorded 51 assists from 1995 to 1998. While there, he helped lead the team to the NCAA Final Four in 1996, and was named an Division I First-Team All-American (soccer), NCAA All-American as a senior. Professional Upon graduating, Mulrooney was drafted third overall in the 1999 MLS College Draft by the San Jose Clash.
