2018 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship
The 2018 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship will be the third season of touring car racing to be run by the German-based sanctioning body ADAC to the TCR regulations. The series will run predominantly in ADAC's home nation Germany. As a support category to the ADAC GT Masters series, the championship will also take in races in the neighbouring nations of Austria, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Josh Files will be the defending Drivers' champion, while Target Competition will the defending Teams' champions. Teams and drivers Team and driver changes Former ADAC Procar champions YACO Racing will enter the series with a single Audi RS3 LMS TCR for Simon Reicher, who moves from Certainty Racing Team. Wolf-Power Racing will switch from SEAT León TCR to Renault Mégane TCR for the 2018 season. Engstler Motorsport will retain Luca Engstler and Floran Thoma. 2018 ADAC GT Masters
The 2018 ADAC GT Masters was the twelfth season of the ADAC GT Masters, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded by the German automobile club ADAC. The season began on 14 April at Oschersleben and ended on 23 September at Hockenheim after seven double-header meetings. Entry list Race calendar and results On 29 November 2017, the ADAC announced the 2018 calendar. Championship standings ;Scoring system Championship points were awarded for the first ten positions in each race. Entries were required to complete 75% of the winning car's race distance in order to be classified and earn points. Harald "Hari" Proczyk (born 9 November 1975) is an Austrian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the ADAC TCR Germany Series, Blancpain Sprint Series & ADAC GT Masters amongst others. Racing career Touring Cars Proczyk began his career in 1998 in the German Citroën Saxo Cup, he raced there for two seasons finishing 2nd in the standings both years, before switching to the German Touring Car Challenge. In 1999 he switched to the German Formula König championship, he raced there for a single season and finished 16th in the championship standings that year. He switched to German Ford Puma Cup in 2001, he finished 9th in the championship standings in 2002, before switching to the German Ford Fiesta Cup in 2003. Oschersleben () is a town in the Börde district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The population in 1905 was 13,271, in 2020 about 19,000. The 2018 TCR Europe Touring Car Series was the third holding of TCR Europe Touring Car Series, TCR Europe, and first held as a standalone series. The series began at the Circuit Paul Ricard in May and ended at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in October. The Deutsche Tourenwagen Cup (DTC, formerly known as ADAC Procar Series) was a yearly motorsport series in Germany and some surrounding countries. The series has been running since 1995 and was folded in 2017. Current status Currently the DTC is the highest level of German motorsport that runs cars to the Super 2000 regulations used in World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Petr Fulín (born 8 February 1977) is a Czech racing driver. He competed in the European Touring Car Cup, where he has won the championship twice. He is a former World Touring Car Championship driver, who made his debut in 2014. Racing career Fulín began his career in 2007 in the BMW 1 Challenge, finishing 2nd in championship. Peter Terting is a German auto racing driver, born on 19 February 1984 in Kempten. He won the Volkswagen Lupo Cup in 2002, earning him a Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, DTM drive for Abt Sportsline in 2003, although this proved to be too big a step up, and the teenager struggled to be competitive.
