2017–18 A-League
The 2017–18 A-League was the 41st season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the 13th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The season began on 6 October 2017 and ended with the Grand Final on 5 May 2018. Sydney FC won the A-League minor premiership, while Melbourne Victory won the Championship after defeating the Newcastle Jets 1–0 in the Grand Final on 5 May 2018. 2018 FFA Cup
The 2018 FFA Cup was the fifth season of the FFA Cup, the main national soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. 32 teams contested the competition proper (from the Round of 32), including the 10 A-League teams and 21 Football Federation Australia (FFA) member federation teams determined through individual state qualifying rounds, as well as the reigning National Premier Leagues Champion (Heidelberg United from Victoria). Round and dates For the first time in the competition's history, the decision on the final venue will be conducted by a draw. Jackson Irvine
Jackson Alexander Irvine (born 7 March 1993) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for 2. Bundesliga club FC St. Pauli. He has previously played for Celtic, Kilmarnock, Ross County, Burton Albion, Hull City and Hibernian. Irvine played for Scotland at under-19 level, but subsequently played for the Australia national team and was selected in their 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups squads. Tore Reginiussen
Tore Reginiussen (born 10 April 1986) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays for Alta. Reginiussen has previously played for the clubs Tromsø, Schalke 04, Lecce, OB, Rosenborg and FC St. Pauli and has been capped playing for Norway. Reginiussen plays as a centre back, but can also play as a central midfielder. Club career Early career in Norway Born in Alta, Norway, Reginiussen started his career with local club Alta. Ola Kamara
Ola Williams Kamara (born 15 October 1989) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Allsvenskan club Häcken. He has previously played for Stabæk, Hønefoss, Strømsgodset, Molde, Austria Wien, TSV 1860 Munich, Columbus Crew SC, LA Galaxy, Shenzhen and D.C. United.
