2017–18 West Ham United F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season was West Ham Uniteds sixth consecutive campaign in the Premier League since being promoted in the 2011–12 season. It was West Ham's 22nd Premier League campaign overall, their 60th top flight appearance in their 123rd year in existence, and their second in the London Stadium. The club were unable to play any games at the stadium until September, allowing for the time to convert it back to a football stadium following the 2017 World Championships in Athletics in August 2017. Aside of the Premier League, West Ham United took part in the FA Cup and League Cup, entering at the third round in the FA Cup and the second round in the EFL Cup. Pablo Zabaleta
Pablo Javier Zabaleta Girod (; born 16 January 1985) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a right back. Zabaleta could operate on both sides of the pitch as a full-back and was known for his tenacious style of play, and has captained his club on numerous occasions. With Manchester City, Zabaleta won all of English football's major honours: the FA Cup (2011), the Premier League (2012 and 2014), the League Cup (2014 and 2016) and the Community Shield (2012). Aaron Cresswell
Aaron William Cresswell (born 15 December 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Premier League club West Ham United. Cresswell made his first-team debut for Tranmere Rovers in 2008 and made 70 league appearances for the club before signing for Ipswich Town in 2011, following a tribunal to agree the value of the transfer. FC Midtjylland (, "Central Jutland") is a Danish professional football club based in Herning and Ikast in the western part of Jutland. The club is the result of a merger between Ikast FS and Herning Fremad. Midtjylland competes in the Danish Superliga, which they have won three times, most recently in 2020. Winston Wiremu Reid (born 3 July 1988) is a New Zealand professional footballer who last played as a defender for club West Ham United. He captained the New Zealand national team.
