2017–18 Slovak Cup
The 2017–18 Slovak Cup was the 49th edition of the competition. This tournament began on 22 July 2017. The winners of the cup, Slovan Bratislava, earned a place in the 2018–19 Europa League and would have joined the competition in the first qualifying round. Slovan Bratislava were the defending champions having won the previous season's Cup by defeating MFK Skalica in the final by a score of 3–0. Format The Cup this season was a knockout tournament contested between 208 clubs. Matches which were level after regulation advanced to penalties to determine a winner. Each round of the cup was contested over one leg with the exception of the semi-finals which were contested over two legs. Second round Sixty-four second round matches were played from 4 August 2017 to 16 August 2017. Third round Thirty-two matches in the third round were played from 31 August 2017 to 14 September 2017. ...

ŠK Slovan Bratislava (, "Bratislava Slav") is a football club based in Bratislava, Slovakia, that plays in the Slovak Super Liga. Founded as 1. ŠKF Sereď () is a Slovak football team, based in the town of Sereď, that plays in the Slovak Super Liga. It was founded as Sereďský športový klub in 1914. The club won the Slovak 2. FK Senica
FK Senica () is a Slovak football team, based in the town of Senica. The club was founded in 1921. History FK Senica was founded in 1921. Newly created partition was rapidly progressed, but the boom dampened dark period World War II. World war almost destroyed football in Senica. Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš is a Slovak football club, playing in the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. History The club was formed on 22 June 1934, following the example of some Liptovský municipalities and the municipality of Okoličné. The meeting consisted of many football enthusiasts from the community and Ján Devečka who officially declared the establishment of the football club. The first elected chairman was JUDr. Sterllinger, who donated from his own private property the Pšaninách meadow (where today stands a dairy) on which to create a football field, which was the club's home until 1972.
