2017–18 Shrewsbury Town F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season was Shrewsbury Town's 132nd year in existence and their third consecutive season in League One after finishing in 18th place the previous season. Shrewsbury finished third in the League and qualified for the EFL League One play-offs. They reached the play-off final after beating Charlton Athletic in the semi-final, but they were beaten by Rotherham United. Paul Hurst left his role as manager at the end of the season. The club also participated in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Craig Brodie MacGillivray (born 12 January 1993) is a Scottish professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for League Two club Milton Keynes Dons. Jon Nolan
Jon Anthony Nolan (born 22 April 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Northern Premier League club Macclesfield. Nolan began his career with Everton, progressing through the club's academy before being released in 2011. He then went on to feature for Stockport County, Lincoln City and Wrexham.
