2017–18 Scottish Cup
The 2017–18 Scottish Cup was the 133rd season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament was sponsored by bookmaker William Hill in what was the seventh season of a nine-year partnership, after contract negotiations saw the initial five-year contract extended for an additional four years in October 2015. The defending champions were Celtic who won the 2017 Scottish Cup Final on 27 May 2017. Wigtown ( (both used locally); gd, Baile na h-Ùige) is a town and former royal burgh in Wigtownshire, of which it is the county town, within the Dumfries and Galloway region in Scotland. It lies east of Stranraer and south of Newton Stewart. It is known as "Scotland's National Book Town" with a high concentration of second-hand book shops and an annual book festival. 2016–17 Scottish Junior Cup
The 2016–17 Scottish Junior Cup was the 131st season of the Scottish Junior Cup, the national knockout tournament for member clubs of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The winner of this competition entered the following season's Scottish Cup at the preliminary round stage. Calendar The provisional dates for each round of the 2016–17 tournament were as follows: Drawn matches are replayed the following weekend. Replays ending in a draw proceed direct to penalty shootout. Semi-finals are played home and away over two legs, subject to decision by the SJFA management committee. 2016–17 West Of Scotland Super League
The 2016–17 West of Scotland Super League was the fifteenth Super League competition since the formation of the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region in 2002. The league comprised two divisions, a West of Scotland Super League Premier Division of twelve clubs and a West of Scotland Super League First Division of fourteen clubs. There were two automatic relegation places between the divisions, while the third-bottom placed side in the Premier Division entered the West Region league play-off, a two-legged tie against the third placed side in the First Division, to decide the final promotion/relegation spot. Scottish Amateur Football Association
The Scottish Amateur Football Association (SAFA) is the organising body for amateur football across Scotland. An affiliate of the Scottish Football Association, the SAFA has in turn 50 regional associations affiliated to it and some 67 different league competitions organised by these associations. Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its football league system until 2021. The North Caledonian Football Association is a football association operating throughout the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and is a recognised body of the Scottish Football Association (SFA) and as such has its senior football competitions officially registered with the SFA. The East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) is a senior football league based in the east and south-east of Scotland. The league sits at levels 6–9 on the Scottish football league system, acting as a feeder to the Lowland Football League.
