2017–18 Oregon State Beavers Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Oregon State Beavers men's basketball team represented Oregon State University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Beavers were led by fourth-year head coach Wayne Tinkle, and played their home games at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 16–16, 7–11 in Pac-12 play to finish in tenth place. They defeated Washington in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to USC. Previous season The 2016–17 Beavers finished the 2016–17 season 5–27, 1–17 in the Pac-12 to finish last. They lost to California in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament. Wayne Tinkle
Wayne Francis Tinkle II (born January 26, 1966) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Oregon State Beavers men's team of the Pac-12 Conference. Prior to his arrival in Corvallis in 2014, he was the head coach for eight seasons in the Big Sky Conference at his alma mater, Montana, preceded by five years with the Griz as an assistant coach. Tinkle played professionally for twelve seasons until 2000, including stints in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and International Basketball League (IBL) and in Sweden, Spain, Italy, and Greece. Early life and college Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tinkle's family moved to Spokane, Washington, and he graduated from Ferris High School in 1984. Ethan Thompson
Ethan Ivan Thompson (born May 4, 1999) is a Puerto Rican-American professional basketball player for the Windy City Bulls of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Oregon State Beavers and represents the Puerto Rican national team. High school career Thompson played on Bishop Montgomery's varsity team for all 4 years during his high school career. As a senior at Bishop Montgomery he averaged 22.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists while also leading his team to the CIF Open Division State Championship. Bishop Montgomery beat Chino Hills, who were led by LaMelo Ball and his brother LiAngelo, in the regional semifinals, and beat Mater Dei in the regional final before beating Woodcreek to win the state title. Crescent Valley High School
Crescent Valley High School, also known as CV, is a four-year public secondary school in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1971 in a rural location north of the city, it is one of the two traditional high schools of the Corvallis School District. Academics Courses are sometimes shared with Corvallis High School. In 2008, 79% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Reynolds High School (Troutdale, Oregon)
Reynolds High School is the only public high school in Troutdale, Oregon, United States, in the northeastern part of the Portland metropolitan area. It is part of the Reynolds School District, and is the second-largest high school in Oregon. History The school takes its name from the school district, which was named for the Reynolds Aluminum plant in the city that closed in 2000. Troutdale is a city in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States, immediately north of Gresham and east of Wood Village. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 15,962. Wilsonville High School
Wilsonville High School is a four-year suburban, public high school in Wilsonville, Oregon, United States. Part of the West Linn-Wilsonville School district, Wilsonville HS opened in 1995 and has grown steadily to its current population of just over 1200 students.
