2017–18 Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team represented Ohio State University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Chris Holtmann, in his first season with the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes played their home games at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio as members of the Big Ten Conference. Chris Holtmann
Christopher Adam Holtmann (born November 11, 1971) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Ohio State University. Holtmann grew up in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and started his college playing career in-state at Brescia College in Owensboro. After two seasons, he transferred to Taylor University, where he played for his final two seasons. In 1994, his senior year, he earned All-America honors and Taylor hit number one in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rankings. Holtmann got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Taylor in 1997. The next year, he became an assistant coach at Geneva College, then returned to his alma mater as an assistant in 1999. Holtmann joined Gardner-Webb's staff in 2002 and spent the next five seasons there, first as an assistant coach and then as associate head coach. 2016–17 Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2016–17 Big Ten men's basketball season began with practices in October 2016, followed by the start of the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. The Conference held its preseason media day on October 13 in Washington, D.C. The season began on November 11 and conference play started on December 27. With a win over Indiana on February 28, 2017, Purdue clinched at least a share of the Big Ten regular season championship. With Wisconsin's loss on March 2, Purdue clinched an outright championship, their 23rd championship, the most in Big Ten history. Trevor Thompson (basketball)
Trevor Thompson (born June 12, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for Peristeri of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. He played collegiate for Ohio State University. Thompson is the son of former Major League Baseball player Ryan Thompson. College career As a freshman at Virginia Tech, Thompson averaged 5.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He had 15 points and six rebounds against Duke. New Mexico Lobos Men's Basketball
The New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team represents the University of New Mexico, competing in the Mountain West Conference (MWC) in NCAA Division I. JaQuan Lyle (born February 24, 1996) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the New Mexico Lobos. High school career Lyle played for Benjamin Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana for three years. As a junior, he averaged 27 points, 13.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game, earning Second Team All-State honors from the Associated Press. The Jacksonville Dolphins men's basketball team represents Jacksonville University in the sport of basketball. The Dolphins compete in NCAA Division I's ASUN Conference (ASUN). The Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team represents Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school's team currently competes in the Big East Conference.
