2017–18 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Corruption Scandal
The 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball corruption scandal was a corruption scandal, initially involving sportswear manufacturer Adidas as well as several college basketball programs associated with the brand but now involving many programs not affiliated with Adidas. On September 27, 2017, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced the arrest of 10 individuals, including assistant coaches Anthony Bland, Chuck Person, Emanuel Richardson, and Lamont Evans and Adidas executive James Gatto, on various corruption and fraud charges including bribery, money laundering, and wire fraud. Nike Elite Youth Basketball League
The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, also known as Nike EYBL, or simply EYBL, is a basketball circuit for teams of players aged 17 and under. The circuit was founded in 2010 and is composed of AAU travel teams. Both boys and girls play in the EYBL in their respective categories. The EYBL is considered one of the top youth basketball circuits in the United States, and includes one Canadian team. The 2017–18 Oklahoma State Cowboys basketball team represented Oklahoma State University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Emanuel "Book" Richardson is a former American college basketball coach most recently an assistant coach for the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball program, where he had been since the 2009–10 season. He has previously been an assistant coach at Xavier, Marist College, Monroe College, and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, his alma mater.
