2017–18 Montenegrin Cup
The 2017–18 Montenegrin Cup was the 12th season of the knockout football tournament in Montenegro. This competition began on 23 August 2017 and ended on 30 May 2018. The winners of the competition earned a spot in the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League. Sutjeska were the defending champions after winning the cup in the previous season. They were eliminated in the quarter-finals. Format Twenty–six clubs competed in the competition this season. The first round and the final were competed over one leg and the other rounds were competed over two legs. First round Twelve first round matches were played on 23 and 24 August 2017. FK Berane
Fudbalski klub Berane (Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Беране) is a Montenegrin football club based in Berane. Established at 1920, the club plays in the Second League of Montenegro. History FK Berane was founded in 1920, as one of the first football clubs in Northern Montenegro and Sandžak region. In the period before World War II, they were the most successful football team from the north. During the 1920s, as other neighbouring clubs mostly played friendlies, FK Berane participated in official competitions of Montenegro. Fudbalski klub Ribnica ( en, Football Club Ribnica Konik) is a football club from Konik, Podgorica, Montenegro. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Third League – Center. History Period 1974–2006 FK Ribnica was founded in 1974, at Konik, the biggest settlement of Podgorica. There were several sports teams by the same name, but they no longer exist. Fudbalski klub Lovćen is a football club based in Cetinje, Montenegro. It was founded on 20 June 1913. It was named after Mount Lovćen near Cetinje.
