2017–18 Missouri Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Missouri Tigers men's basketball team represented the University of Missouri in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by head coach Cuonzo Martin who was in his first year at Missouri. The team played its home games at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri as sixth-year members of the Southeastern Conference. On October 22, 2017, the Tigers renewed their rivalry against Kansas in an exhibition game for four different charities for Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Maria relief funds. Cuonzo Martin
Cuonzo LaMar Martin (born September 23, 1971) is an American basketball coach and former player who is the former head coach of the Missouri Tigers men's basketball team. High school Playing alongside LaPhonso Ellis as a sophomore and junior, Martin played on two state championship teams for Lincoln High in his native East St. Louis, Illinois. Through his 3 years in the IHSA tournament, Martin scored 198 points and grabbed 111 rebounds in 12 games. In 2007, Martin and Ellis were voted among the "100 Legends of the IHSA Boys Basketball Tournament," recognizing their superior performance in their appearances in the tournament. College career Cuonzo Martin attended Purdue University, where he played for Gene Keady and alongside Wooden Award winner Glenn Robinson. Duquesne Dukes Men's Basketball
The Duquesne Dukes represent Duquesne University in college basketball. The team, which started in 1914, has only ever played in NCAA Division I and has had five appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Dukes play in the Atlantic 10 Conference, of which they have been members since 1976 (minus the 1992–93 season in which the Dukes were single-season members of the Midwestern Collegiate Conference). Jontay Porter (born November 15, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers. Michael Lamar Porter Jr. (born June 29, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Kim Anderson (basketball)
Keith Kim Anderson (born May 12, 1955) is a retired American basketball coach and most recently was head coach for the Pittsburg State Gorillas. Career Anderson previously served as the men's basketball head coach of the Missouri Tigers. He led the Central Missouri Mules to back-to-back MIAA championships and three appearances in the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2007, 2009 and winning the championship in 2014. He led the Mules to the NCAA Men's Division II Basketball Championship in 2014 by defeating West Liberty 84–77. He played collegiately for the University of Missouri.
