2017–18 Honduran Liga Nacional
The 2017–18 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 52nd Honduran Liga Nacional edition since its establishment in 1965. For this season, the system format remained the same as the previous season. The tournament started on 28 July 2017 and ended on 19 May 2018. The season was divided into two halves (Apertura and Clausura), each crowning one champion. C.D. Marathón, as the team with the best record, qualified to the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League. Real C.D. España and F.C. Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Estadio Yankel Rosenthal
Estadio Yankel Rosenthal is a multi-purpose use stadium in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Renovations were completed in 2009, and it will now be used primarily for football matches. It is the home stadium of San Pedro Sula-based Marathón, the second oldest team in the nation, founded November 25, 1925. The stadium has a capacity of 5,500 spectators. The project, which was scheduled to be finalized in its entirety by 2007, was rescheduled to 2009 due to financial issues. The stadium is named after Marathón's current president and part owner Yankel Rosenthal, who started building the stadium, making Marathón the first and only Honduran football club to own its own stadium. Héctor Vargas (born 15 March 1959) is an Argentinian football manager who has worked primarily in the Liga Nacional de Honduras and is currently manager of Real España. Club career As a player, Vargas started his career at Estudiantes, before having spells at Temperley, Gimnasia and in Colombia. Manuel Keosseián
Manuel Keosseian, in Armenian Մանուել Քեոսեյան, (born 17 August 1953 in Montevideo) is an Armenian Uruguayan former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After he retired from playing, Keosseian became a manager and has led several clubs including Uruguayan side C.A. Peñarol.
