2017–18 EHF Cup
The 2017–18 EHF Cup was the 37th edition of the EHF Cup, the second most important European handball club competition organised by the European Handball Federation (EHF), and the sixth edition since the merger with the EHF Cup Winners' Cup. Team allocation Teams The labels in the parentheses show how each team qualified for the place of its starting round: *TH: Title holders *1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, etc.: League position *CW: Domestic cup winners *CL QS: Losers from the Champions League qualification stage. Round and draw dates The schedule of the competition was as follows (all draws were held at the EHF headquarters in Vienna, Austria): Qualification stage The qualification stage consists of three rounds, which are played as two-legged ties using a home-and-away system. In the draws for each round, teams were allocated into two pots, with teams from Pot 1 facing teams from Pot 2. EHF Cup
The EHF European League is an annual men's handball club competition organised by the European Handball Federation (EHF) since 1981. It is the second-tier competition of European club handball, ranking only below the EHF Champions League. Previously called the EHF Cup, the competition will be known as the EHF European League from the season 2020–21. Portuguese side S.L. Benfica (handball), Benfica are the current holders. Club Balonmano Granollers, commonly known as BM Granollers, is a handball club based in Granollers, Spain. History The club was founded in 1944 and it is one of the oldest and most successful Spanish handball clubs in terms of titles won. Since its inception, the club quickly got a great competitive level. BM Granollers has competed almost every season in the top league of Spanish handball (currently Liga ASOBAL). It became the first Spanish handball club taking part in a European competition in 1959. BM Granollers won the EHF Cup Winners' Cup in 1976, so it became the first Spanish handball club winning a European title. 2016–17 Handbollsligan
The 2016–17 Handbollsligan is the 83rd season of the Handbollsligan, Swedish's top-tier handball league. A total of fourteen teams contest this season's league, which began on 13 September 2016 and is scheduled to conclude on 27 May 2017. IFK Kristianstad are the defending champions, having beaten Alingsås HK 27–18 in the previous season's final. Format The first 7 rounds consist on a round-robin tournament with 2 groups of 7 teams each. Then, the competition format for the 2016–17 season consists of a home-and-away round-robin system.
