2017–18 Colorado Buffaloes Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by head coach Tad Boyle in his eighth season at Colorado. The Buffaloes played their home games at Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colorado as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 17–15, 8–10 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for eighth place. They defeated Arizona State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Arizona. Previous season The Buffaloes finished the 2016–17 season 19–15, 8–10 in Pac-12 play to finish in seventh place. Tad Boyle
Thomas Martin "Tad" Boyle (born January 6, 1963) is an American college basketball coach who is the men's head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes of the Pac-12 Conference. He was named the 18th coach in Colorado men's basketball history on April 19, 2010, replacing Jeff Bzdelik. Boyle was named as an assistant coach for USA Basketball a second time in 2015. He played collegiately at Kansas under coach Ted Owens and Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown. While playing for the Jayhawks, Boyle played on two NCAA tournament teams in 1984 and 1985. He served as team captain his senior year, which was 1988 NBA draft choice Danny Manning's freshman season and Mark Turgeon's sophomore season. 2016–17 Arizona Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by eighth-year head coach Sean Miller, and played their home games at McKale Center in Tucson, Arizona as members in the Pac-12 Conference. Coming into the '16-'17 season Arizona has been ranked in 78-consecutive AP polls & 81-straight coaches polls. The 97-consecutive weeks in the AP poll is currently the second-longest streak in the nation behind Kansas at 161 weeks. They have been ranked every week in the 2016-2017 season, bringing those totals to 97 weeks for the AP & 100 weeks for the coaches poll. West Brook Senior High School
West Brook Senior High School is a high school in the city of Beaumont, Texas. It is operated by the Beaumont Independent School District and was formed in 1982 as a court-ordered measure to integrate the schools of the formerly separate South Park Independent School District. West Brook is located at 8750 Phelan Boulevard. The school's official mascot is the Bruin Bear. East High School is a historical public high school located in the City Park neighborhood on the east side of Denver, Colorado, United States. It is part of the Denver Public Schools system, and is one of four original high schools in Denver. The other three are West, North, and South. History East High opened in 1875 and was the first high school in Denver. The first graduating class was in 1877. In 1889, it moved to 19th and Stout Street because of the need for more room. Champlin Park High School is a four-year public high school in Champlin, Minnesota, United States. The school's name comes from the combination of Brooklyn Park and Champlin. McKinley Wright IV (born October 25, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes. Early life and high school career Wright is the son of McKinley Wright III and grew up in Champlin, Minnesota. Evan Earl Battey (born September 27, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Rilski Sportist of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes. He was named second-team All-Pac-12 as a senior in 2022. High school career Battey started playing high school basketball at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies in Los Angeles. He averaged 11 points and 11 rebounds per game as a freshman. Tyler Tarik Bey (born February 10, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Ironi Ness Ziona of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He played college basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes. Early life and high school career Bey was born and brought up in Las Vegas and started playing competitive basketball in eighth grade.
