2017–18 Celtic F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season was the 129th season of competitive football by Celtic. They competed in the Scottish Premiership, League Cup, Scottish Cup, Champions League and Europa League. Celtic won all three domestic tournaments, completing a double treble. Background The previous season saw Celtic win the domestic treble, remaining undefeated domestically, recording only four draws in the Scottish Premiership. 2017 Scottish Cup Final
The 2017 Scottish Cup Final was the 132nd final of the Scottish Cup and the final of the 2016–17 Scottish Cup, the most prestigious knockout football competition in Scotland. The match took place at Hampden Park on 27 May 2017 and was contested by Celtic and Aberdeen. The fixture was a repeat of the finals in 1937, 1954 and 1967 won by Celtic, and in 1970, 1984 and 1990 won by Aberdeen. It was also a repeat of the final of the Scottish League Cup played six months earlier, which Celtic won 3–0. Celtic won the game 2–1 to complete an undefeated domestic treble. James Forrest (footballer, Born 1991)
James Forrest (born 7 July 1991) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Scottish Premiership club Celtic and the Scotland national team. Forrest joined Celtic's youth academy in 2003 and made his first team debut in the 2009–10 season. As a young player he was widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Scottish game. In November 2011, the Scottish Football Association's performance director, Mark Wotte, described him as being "the light in the darkness" of Scottish football. He has progressed to become a key player in a successful era for Celtic, winning nine consecutive league championships. Anton Michael Rodgers (born 26 January 1993) is an English-born Irish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Isthmian League South Central Division side Basingstoke Town.
