2017 Women's Six Nations Championship
The 2017 Women's Six Nations Championship, also known as the 2017 RBS Women's Six Nations due to the tournament's sponsorship by the Royal Bank of Scotland, was the 16th series of the Women's Six Nations Championship, an annual women's rugby union competition between six European rugby union national teams. Matches were held in February and March 2017, on the same weekends as the men's tournament, if not always the same day. For the first time, the 2017 tournament used the rugby union bonus points system common to most other professional rugby union tournaments. As well as the standard four points for a win or two for a draw, a team scoring four or more tries during a match received an additional league table point, as did a team losing by 7 or fewer points. Additionally, to ensure that a team winning all of its five matches (a Grand Slam) would also win the Championship, three bonus points were awarded for this achievement. Emily Scarratt
Emily Scarratt (born 8 February 1990) is an English rugby union player. She currently plays centre and fullback for Loughborough Lightning and for England. She is also a qualified teacher. Club career Scarratt played for Leicester Forest before moving to Lichfield. In 2018 she joined Loughborough Lightning. International career Scarratt first played for England in 2008, scoring 12 tries in 12 games and earning comparisons to Brian O'Driscoll. In 2009 she helped England to victory in the 2009 Women's Six Nations Championship and was joint top try scorer with teammate Fiona Pocock. Danielle "Nolli" Waterman (born 20 January 1985) is a retired professional English rugby union, rugby sevens player and current rugby commentator. The members are Giovanni Pezzoli (drums), Roberto Drovandi (bass guitar), Andrea Fornili (guitar), and Gaetano Curreri (vocals and keyboard). Elinor Snowsill (born 27 June 1989) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for Bristol Bears. She made her debut for Wales against Sweden in 2009, earning 76 caps before her international retirement in August 2023. Manuela Furlan (born 30 June 1988) is a former Italian rugby union player. She captained Italy and was a member of their squad for the 2021 Rugby World Cup.
