2017 Women's Hockey Asia Cup
The 2017 Women's Hockey Asia Cup was the ninth edition of the Women's Hockey Asia Cup. It was held from 28 October to 5 November 2017 in Kakamigahara, Gifu, Japan. The winner of this tournament qualified for the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup, 2018 World Cup in England. India won their second title, after beating China in the final. Kakamigahara, Gifu
is a city located in southern Gifu Prefecture in Japan. , the city had an estimated population of 148,225, and a population density of 1700 persons per km2, in 59,736 households. Navjot Kaur (born 7 March 1995) is an Indian field hockey player. She is part of the Indian Women's Hockey team in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Early life She was born in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Deep Grace Ekka (born 3 June 1994) is an Indian female field hockey player. She plays for the Indian Women's Hockey Team. She has been selected for Arjun award in 2022. Early life Deep Grace Ekka was born on 3 June 1994 in a small village called Lulkidhi in the Sundergarh district of Odisha. She is the daughter of Charles and Jayamani Ekka. Lalremsiami Hmarzote (born 30 March 2000) is an Indian professional field hockey player who plays as a forward and occasionally as a halfback for the Indian national team.
