2017 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2017 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the West Coast Conference held March 3–7, 2017 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Regular-season champion 2016–17 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team, Gonzaga also won the WCC tournament, and with it the conference's automatic bid into the 2017 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2017 NCAA tournament with a 74-56 win over 2016–17 Saint Mary's Gaels men's basketball team, Saint Mary's in the finals. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis since 2019. It is also an occasional home for the UNLV Rebels basketball team when the Thomas & Mack Center is in use. 2016–17 Pepperdine Waves Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team represented Pepperdine University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Marty Wilson's sixth full season at Pepperdine. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, California as members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 9–22, 5–13 in WCC play to finish in eighth place. They lost in the first round of the WCC tournament to Pacific. Dick Vitale
Richard John Vitale (; born June 9, 1939), also known as "Dickie V", is an American basketball sportscaster. A former head coach in the college and professional ranks, he is well known for his 41-year tenure as a college basketball broadcaster for ESPN. Jon Alan Barry (born July 25, 1969) is an American former basketball player and current television analyst for ABC and ESPN. Biography Barry is the son of Hall of Famer Rick Barry and Pam Connolly, and has three brothers: Scooter, Brent, and Drew, all of whom are also basketball players. Allen Samuel "Roxy" Bernstein (born September 25, 1972) is an American sportscaster for ESPN, the Pac-12 Network, and the Oakland Athletics. Early life and career Bernstein was born in San Francisco and grew up on the Peninsula in the Bay Area.
