The Women's team time trial of the 2017 UCI Road World Championships was a cycling event that took place on 17 September 2017 in Bergen, Norway. 2017 UCI Road World Championships
The 2017 UCI Road World Championships were held in 2017 in Bergen, Norway. It was the 90th UCI Road World Championships and the second to be held in Norway, after the 1993 world championships in Oslo. Chantal Blaak of the Netherlands won the women's road race and Peter Sagan of Slovakia won the men's road race. Sagan became the first man to win three successive world road race championships. Bidding process It was announced on 25 September 2014 following a two-day meeting held in conjunction with the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in Ponferrada, Spain, that Bergen was elected to host the Championships in 2017. The city was chosen over Innsbruck (Austria), Melbourne (Australia) and Bogotá (Colombia). Bergen sent in their application by 1 January 2014. Career Born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Barnes grew up in Bladon, Oxfordshire and later moved to Towcester, Northamptonshire. Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (born 23 August 1995) is a Danish professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career As a junior, she competed at the 2012 UCI Road World Championships and the 2013 UCI Road World Championships. In the 2018 La Course by Le Tour de France she finished in 4th place, with her teammate Ashleigh Moolman taking the final podium place. She also took the mountains classification in this race. Lotta Pauliina Henttala (née Lepistö; born 28 June 1989) is a Finnish racing cyclist, who rides for Finnish amateur team Henttala Development Team. She has won the Finnish National Road Race Championships seven times, consecutively between 2012 and 2018.
