2017 Turkish Women's Cup
The 2017 Alanya Gold City Cup or 2017 Turkish Women's Cup was the first edition of the Turkish Women's Cup, an invitational Women's association football, women's football tournament held annually in Turkey. It took place from 1 to 7 March 2017. Format The four invited teams played a round-robin tournament. Points awarded in the group stage follow the standard formula of three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. In the case of two teams being tied on the same number of points in a group, their head-to-head result determine the higher place, or in case of a tie, the goal difference. The 2018 Turkish Women's Cup was the second edition of the Turkish Women's Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held annually in Turkey. It took place from 27 February to 7 March 2018. Format The twelve invited teams were split into three groups to play a round-robin tournament. Points awarded in the group stage follow the standard formula of three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. In the case of two teams being tied on the same number of points in a group, their head-to-head result determine the higher place. FC Zürich Frauen is a women's association football club from Zürich, Switzerland. Its first team plays since the founding of the Swiss national league in 1970 in the first division. The team has won 23 national championships and has won the Cup 15 times. History FC Zürich Frauen was founded on 24 April 1970 as a section of SV Seebach, a football club founded 1916 from the Zurich city quarter of Seebach. 1980 the team won its first championship, one year later the team won the double.
