2017 Trofeo Laigueglia
The 2017 Trofeo Laigueglia was a one-day road cycling race that took place on 12 February 2017 in and around Laigueglia, Italy. It was the 54rd edition of the Trofeo Laigueglia and was rated as a 1.HC event as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Fabio Felline, riding for an Italian national team select, attacking the peloton with around remaining, and soloing away to victory by 25 seconds from his closest competitor. Second place went to Romain Hardy for the team, ahead of 's Mauro Finetto. Teams Twenty-three teams were invited to take part in the race. These included four UCI WorldTeams, twelve UCI Professional Continental teams, six UCI Continental teams and an Italian national team. 2017 UCI Europe Tour
The 2017 UCI Europe Tour was the thirteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2017 season began on 26 January 2017 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 17 October 2017 with the Nationale Sluitingsprijs. Belgium, Belgian rider Baptiste Planckaert (), who scored 1,605 points in the 2016 UCI Europe Tour, 2016 edition, was the defending champion of the UCI Europe Tour. Nacer Bouhanni () won the overall standings for the second time in three years; won the team classification, while France won both the overall nations' title and the under-23 equivalent. He is the Slovenian road race champion for 2018 and 2021. Biography Born on 19 October 1994, in Kranj, Slovenia, Mohorič currently resides in Podblica, Slovenia. Arthur Vichot (born 26 November 1988) is a French former professional cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2020, for the and teams. He is the nephew of Frédéric Vichot, who won stages in the Tour de France in 1984 and 1985. Professional career One tradition of the Tour Down Under is that the fans choose an unknown rider and treat him the way they would a star, by mobbing him at hotels and painting his name on the road. Francesco Gavazzi (born 1 August 1984) is an Italian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career Gavazzi was born in Morbegno. In 2012, Gavazzi participated in the Tour of Beijing and won its queen stage leading to the Great Wall of China. Matteo Trentin (born 2 August 1989) is an Italian professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Professional career In 2014, Trentin took a prestigious victory on Stage 7 of the Tour de France, where he won the sprint by a few centimeters over Peter Sagan. Trentin had also won a stage of the same race on his maiden Tour start in 2013, winning in a sprint in Lyon against his breakaway counterparts. In October 2015, Trentin won Paris–Tours in record time for a race over 200 km, thus becoming the new ''Ruban Jaune''.
