The 2017 Svenska Cupen final was played on 13 April 2017. 2016–17 Svenska Cupen
The 2016–17 Svenska Cupen was the 61st season of Svenska Cupen and the fifth season with the current format. The winners of the competition will earn a place in the second qualifying round of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League, unless they have already qualified for European competition in the 2017–18 season, in which case the qualification spot will go to fourth-placed team of the 2016 Allsvenskan. A total of 96 clubs will enter the competition. The first two rounds were scheduled to be played before 3 August and 24 August 2016 respectively. The first round draw was announced on 21 April 2016, and the draw for the second round was announced on 7 July 2016. The group stage will be played on the last two weekends in February 2017, and the last group stage round will be played on 5 and 6 March 2017. Örgryte Idrottssällskap, commonly referred to as Örgryte IS, Örgryte () or (especially locally) ÖIS or Öis, is a Swedish sports club based in Gothenburg. Aly Keita (born 8 December 1986) is a professional footballer who plays a goalkeeper for Östersunds FK. Born in Sweden, he plays for the Guinea national team. Club career Keita started his career at Skiljebo SK, before moving to Syrianska IF in 2007. Just before the 2012 season, Keita left Syrianska IF on a free transfer to Västerås SK. Pitch invader incident On 15 August 2016, Keita was attacked by a pitch invader during a game against Jönköpings Södra IF. In the closing of what would have been a 1–1 draw ended with an invader running onto the field and grabbed Keita. He later reported that during the confrontation, he was struck in the temple. Rolf Linus Wahlqvist Egnell (born 11 November 1996) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays for Pogoń Szczecin as a defender. Career Wahlqvist arrived at IFK Norrköping from his boyhood club Eneby BK in 2009. For the 2013 Allsvenskan season he was moved up to the first team where he eventually switched position from central defender to right fullback at the start of the following year. Saman Ghoddos ( fa, سامان قدّوس; born 6 September 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder, striker or winger for club Brentford and the Iran national team. Salisu Abdullahi "Alhaji" Gero (born 10 October 1993) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Finnish club TPS.
