Dimitrios Papadatos
Dimitrios "Dimi" Papadatos (born 4 June 1991) is a Greek-Australian professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. Professional career Papadatos turned professional in late 2012. He won his first professional event at the New Zealand Open on the PGA Tour of Australasia in March 2014. Papadatos has established himself as one of the leading players on the PGA Tour of Australasia with two further victories, the Oates Victorian Open and the TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship seeing Papadatos named the 2017 PGA Tour of Australasia Player of the Year. Stephen Leaney
Stephen John Leaney (born 10 March 1969) is a professional golfer from Australia. Born in Busselton, Western Australia, Leaney turned professional in 1992 and won several tournaments in Australia in the 1990s, despite having two ribs cut removed in December 1993 after doctors diagnosed a blood clot in his shoulder. Leaney has since spoken to W.A media and confirmed the threatening injury may have been caused from his prior to golf career in premier league darts. Between 1998 and 2003 he made the top 15 on the European Tour Order of Merit three times and won four European Tour events. The Western Australian Open, also known as the WA Open, is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. It had been a tour event every year since 2009 with the exception of 2019. History The first Western Australian Amateur Championship was held in 1911. This consisted of a 36-hole stroke-play qualification stage, played in a single day, followed by match-play to determine the champion. The leading four players in the stroke-play qualified in 1911, increasing to 8 in 1912. In 1913 the stroke-play stage was opened up to professionals, becoming the first Western Australian Open Championship. It was played at the Fremantle links on 28 August, nearly 30 players competing. Travis Smyth (born 29 December 1994) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour. He won the 2017 Northern Territory PGA Championship and the 2022 Yeangder TPC, as well as recording a runner-up finish at the 2022 International Series England. The Fiji International was a men's golf tournament in Fiji, sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia. The Fiji International was Fiji's first internationally broadcast golf tournament to a worldwide audience across more than 30 countries in over 400 million homes, a first for a single sporting event in Fiji. The Papua New Guinea Open is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The event is held at Royal Port Moresby Golf Club, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. It has been a tour event since 2016.
