2017 New York Jets
The 2017 New York Jets season was the franchise's 48th season in the National Football League, the 58th overall and the third under head coach Todd Bowles. After losing their first two games, the first such start to a season since 2007, the Jets had an impressive three-game winning streak to improve to 3–2. However, the Jets collapsed and ended up winning only two games after Week 5. They equaled their record from the previous season, missed the playoffs for a seventh consecutive season, and were the solitary AFC team to not have one player make the Pro Bowl. It was the first time the Jets had won seven or fewer games in consecutive seasons since their 4–28 two-season streak of 1995 and 1996. Dennard Wilson (born March 31, 1982) is an American football coach and former safety who is the defensive backs coach for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He is a former American football safety in the NFL who was signed as a free agent by the Washington Redskins in 2004. He played college football at the University of Maryland and matriculated with a bachelor's degree in Communications. Professional career Wilson enters his 16th NFL season. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. Kevin Greene (American Football)
Kevin Darwin Greene (July 31, 1962December 21, 2020) was an American professional football player who was a defensive end and outside linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, and San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1985 through 1999. He had 160 sacks in his career, which ranks third among NFL career sack leaders, and he was voted to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016. Thomas "Pepper" Johnson (born July 29, 1964) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Bandits of the United States Football League (USFL). He played in the National Football League for 13 seasons, the first seven of which were for the New York Giants. He won two Super Bowls with the Giants before playing for the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions and New York Jets.
