The 2017 NWSL College Draft was the fifth annual meeting of National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) franchises to select eligible college players. It was held on January 12, 2017 at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention in Los Angeles, California. BYU Cougars Women's Soccer
The BYU Cougars women's soccer represents Brigham Young University in the West Coast Conference of NCAA Division I soccer. Prior to the 1995 season, the team participated as a club sport. The team is coached by Jennifer Rockwood and has made the NCAA Tournament 23 times, reaching the Quarterfinals of the College Cup four times in 2003, 2012, 2019 and 2021. The team plays its home games at South Field on the university campus. History From its founding until 1995 the BYU Cougars women's soccer club participated in the Western National Collegiate Club soccer Association (NCCSA). Twice during that stretch they made the NSCAA Championship, in 1993 and 1994. Jennifer Rockwood coached the BYU Women's soccer club for seven seasons before they joined the NCAA in 1995. FC Kansas City was an American professional women's soccer club based in Kansas City, Missouri. Kassey Lee Kallman (born May 6, 1992) is an American professional soccer defender. She most recently played for the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League. Early life Kassey is the daughter of Rich and Laura Kallman. She has three brothers – Brian, Brad and Brent – and two sisters – Krystle and Kylie. Brian and Brent both played college soccer at Creighton University and both played professionally in the North American Soccer League for Minnesota United before Brent joined their MLS iteration; Krystle and Kylie both played collegiately at The University of Minnesota, where Krystle currently serves as an assistant coach. Havana Marguerite Solaun (born 23 February 1993) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Houston Dash of the American National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the Jamaica women's national team. Madalyn Terese Schiffel (born September 19, 1994) is a retired American professional soccer goalkeeper who previously played Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and for Avaldsnes IL of the Norwegian Toppserien. Christine Marie Nairn (born September 25, 1990) is an American retired soccer player from Annapolis, Maryland. She previously played for the Houston Dash, Orlando Pride, Washington Spirit and Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL and has had regular loan spells with Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League.
