The following human polls make up the 2017 NCAA Division I men's baseball rankings. The ''USA Today''/ESPN Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of 31 Division I baseball coaches. The ''Baseball America'' poll is voted on by staff members of the ''Baseball America'' magazine. These polls, along with the Perfect Game USA poll, rank the top 25 teams nationally. ''Collegiate Baseball'' and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association rank the top 30 teams nationally. 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Season
The 2017 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began in February 2017. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2017 College World Series. The College World Series, consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended June 27, 2017. Realignment * Coastal Carolina left the Big South Conference for the Sun Belt Conference. The move officially took effect hours after Coastal won the College World Series. 2017 Louisville Cardinals Baseball Team
The 2017 Louisville Cardinals baseball team represents the University of Louisville during the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cardinals play their home games at Jim Patterson Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They are led by head coach Dan McDonnell, in his eleventh year at Louisville. Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Cardinals were selected to host their fifth consecutive NCAA Regional. The Cardinals would win both the Louisville Regional and Louisville Super Regional and receive an invitation to the 2017 College World Series before eventually losing to TCU by a score of 3–4. 2017 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Baseball Team
The 2017 Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team represented Wake Forest University during the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Demon Deacons play their home games at Gene Hooks Field at Wake Forest Baseball Park as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Tom Walter in his 8th season at Wake Forest. After a successful regular season record and conference record in ACC play the Demon Deacons secured a spot in the NCAA tournament as the eighth overall seed. The 2017 Ole Miss Rebels Baseball team represented the University of Mississippi in the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Rebels played their home games in Swayze Field.
