Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Šafářová were the defending champions, but lost in the second round to Andreja Klepač and María José Martínez Sánchez. Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan won the title, defeating Sania Mirza and Barbora Strýcová in the final, 6–4, 6–3. Mattek-Sands retained the No. 1 doubles ranking after the other contenders for the top ranking at the beginning of the tournament ( Kristina Mladenovic, Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina) all lost in the quarterfinals. Gabriela "Gaby" Dabrowski (; pl, Dąbrowska, ; born April 1, 1992) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She reached her best singles ranking of world No. 164 by the WTA on November 3, 2014 and her highest doubles ranking of world No. 4 on July 11, 2022. A two-time Grand Slam champion, she won the 2017 French Open mixed-doubles title with Rohan Bopanna, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a senior Grand Slam title. Yaroslava Vyacheslavovna Shvedova (; born 12 September 1987) is a Kazakhstani former professional tennis player. Before 2008, she represented her country of birth, Russia. Mirjana Lučić-Baroni (; ; born 9 March 1982) is a Croatian former professional tennis player. She enjoyed a meteoric rise on the WTA Tour in the late 1990s, during which she set several "youngest-ever" records.
