2017 Miami Hurricanes Football Team
The 2017 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the Hurricanes' 92nd season of football and 14th as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Hurricanes were led by second-year head coach Mark Richt and played their home games at Hard Rock Stadium. They finished the season 10–3 overall and 7–1 in the ACC to finish in first in the Coastal Division. They advanced to the ACC Championship Game where they lost to Clemson, 38–3. Mark Richt
Mark Allan Richt (born February 18, 1960) is a retired American football head coach, former player, and television analyst. He was the head football coach at the University of Georgia for 15 years and at the University of Miami, his alma mater, for three. His teams won two Southeastern Conference (SEC) championships, five SEC division titles, and one Atlantic Coast Conference division title. He was a two-time SEC Coach of the Year (2002, 2005), the 2017 ACC Coach of the Year, and the winner of the national 2017 Walter Camp Coach of the Year Award. Richt played college football as a quarterback at Miami. Stacy Searels
Stacy Searels (born May 19, 1965) is the current offensive line coach for the Georgia Bulldogs football team. Playing years A three-year starter on the offensive line at Auburn, Searels earned first-team All-America honors from both The Associated Press and Football News as a senior in 1987. Coaching career Searels coached the offensive line at Cincinnati for three seasons (2000-02) and at Appalachian State for seven seasons (1994-2000). He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Auburn, his alma mater, in 1992. Ron Dugans
Ron Dugans (born April 27, 1977) is an assistant football coach on the Florida State Seminoles and a former wide receiver who played his 4-year National Football League (NFL) career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Playing career Dugans was a standout receiver at Florida State where he won a BCS Championship in 1999 season in his final season. Dugans caught five passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns in the 2000 BCS Championship Game. Dugans was drafted in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Bengals. The Toledo Rockets football team is a college football program in Division I FBS, representing the University of Toledo. The Rockets compete in the Mid-American Conference. The Georgia Bulldogs football program represents the University of Georgia in the sport of American football.
