2017 Japanese Regional Leagues
The 2017 Japanese Regional Leagues were a competition between parallel association football leagues ranking at the bottom of the Japan Football League. Champions list ;Qualified for the Japan Regional Football Champions League 2017: Along them, also Matsue City FC and FC TIAMO Hirakata qualified for the final tournament as they featured in the Top 4 of 2017 All Japan Senior Football Championship. To complete the scenario, also FC Kariya were picked to participate. Mitsubishi Mizushima FC
are a Japanese football club based in Kurashiki, Okayama. They play in the Chūgoku Soccer League. History The club was founded in 1946 to provide recreational activities in the war-torn Mizushima area of Kurashiki city. They joined the Okayama Prefecture League in 1965 and were promoted to the Chūgoku Regional League in 1979 for the first time. They were relegated to the Prefecture League in 1982 and stayed there for 8 years. After re-entering the Chūgoku League, they won 5 championships before being promoted to the JFL in 2005. In recent years they have adopted the moniker "Red Adamant" (after their parent company Mitsubishi Motors and its former flagship football club, now known as Urawa Red Diamonds), with an aim to eventually join J. League and be a star club in their own right. Japanese Regional Leagues
are a group of parallel association football leagues in Japan that are organized on the regional basis. They form the fifth tier of the Japanese association football league system below the nationwide Japan Football League. Overview Japan is divided regionally in a variety of ways, some of them administrative and some more historical. For the football purposes, the country is divided into nine regions. All regional league champions earn the right to participate in the Regional Football League Competition (since 2016 renamed Japan Regional Football Champions League) at the end of the year. Runners-up may also qualify according to criteria set by the Japan Football Association. Regional league clubs also compete in the All Japan Senior Football Championship, a cup competition. FC Kariya
are a Japanese football club based in Kariya, Aichi. They're aiming to gain professional status. Since the 2022 season, after being relegated from the Japan Football League, they are playing in the Tōkai Adult Soccer League History The club was founded in 1949 as Nippon Denso Soccer Club. They mainly played in the Tōkai Regional League; Kariya was already represented in the Japan Soccer League by the club belonging to Toyota Industries (not to be confused with nearby Toyota Motors, which is the club that became Nagoya Grampus). Nippon Denso were finally promoted to the Japan Football League in 1996. They played their first JFL season under new name DENSO Soccer Club because of the change of their owner's name. All Japan Senior Football Championship
The , officially called the All Japan Adults Football Tournament, is a football (soccer) cup competition in Japan. It is run by the Japan Football Association. As it only involves non-league teams (teams not affiliated to either J.League or the Japan Football League), it can be considered an equivalent of the FA Trophy or FA Vase in England. FC TIAMO Hirakata
is a football (soccer) club based in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture in Japan. They currently play in the Japan Football League, the Japanese fourth tier of football league. History Founded in 2004 by the will of three former Gamba Osaka players - Junichi Inamoto, Ryuji Bando and Toru Araiba -, the club was initially named ''FC Ibanina'', a name came up with the merge of the three players' name. Then in 2006 the club was renamed ''FC TIAMO'': ''ti amo'' stays for Italian ''I love you''. Matsue City FC
was a professional football club based in Matsue, which is located in Shimane Prefecture in Japan. They played in the Japan Football League, the Japanese fourth tier of football, until 2022. History FC Kagura Shimane was founded as Matsue City FC on the basis of a precedent team, which already was playing in Chūgoku Soccer League, Vorador Matsue. In 2011, the new-born club started their new activities to join Japanese professional football as soon as they could. An NPO corporation was made to manage the club and push towards J.
