2017 International GT Open Season
The 2017 International GT Open season was the twelfth season of the International GT Open, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded in 2006 by the Spanish GT Sport Organización. It began on 29 April at Autódromo do Estoril and finished on 29 October, at Barcelona after seven double-header meetings. Entry list Race calendar A seven-round provisional calendar was revealed on 4 October 2016. The Hungaroring round will be co-headlined by the TCR International Series. Bold indicates overall winner. International GT Open
The International GT Open is a grand tourer-style sports car racing series founded in 2006 by the Spanish GT Sport Organización. It was a spin-off of the now-defunct Spanish GT Championship, but is now a distinct series featuring FIA GT3-spec cars modified from production road cars. Format The series consists of events in various European countries which feature two races over a weekend. In its first year, the races had an identical format to the Spanish GT Championship, with two 200 km races, the first held on Saturday and the second the following Sunday. Three of the six rounds were joint events for the Open and the Spanish GT Championship. In 2007, the first race, known as ''Pro-Am'', covers approximately 200 km distance, while the second race is 150 km and known as ''GT Open''. Thomas Jäger (born 27 October 1976) is a German professional racing driver. Lechner Racing, formerly known as Walter Lechner Racing is an auto racing team based in Austria. It is also known as the Lechner Racing School. Richard Gonda (born 14 March 1994, in Banská Bystrica) is a professional racing driver from Slovakia. Career Karting Gonda began karting in 2003 and raced primarily in his native Slovakia for the majority of his career, working his way up from the junior ranks with the seven national titles. BMW M6
The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2018 (with a break from 1990 to 2004). The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster bodystyles by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG.
