2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot
The 2017 IPSC Rifle World Shoot I held at the Patriot Park in Kubinka, Moscow, Russia was the first IPSC Rifle World Shoot. The match consisted of 30 stages over 6 days and 591 competitors from 40 nations. Originally the championship was planned to be held during 2016, but was rescheduled to 2017 in order to finish the construction of the new shooting range in Patriot Park near Moscow. The majority of targets were placed between 60 and 100 meters, but many stages also included targets between 200 and 300 meters. Patriot Park
Patriot Park (russian: Парк «Патриот») is a theme park in Kubinka, Russia that is themed around equipment of the Russian military. The park, which officially opened in 2016, is designed around a military theme, and includes interactive exhibits with military equipment. The park incorporates the Aviation Museum of the Kubinka (air base), Kubinka air base and the Kubinka Tank Museum. The location of the exhibits and the restrictions for civilian visitors are changed very often without any notifications. The IPSC Shotgun World Shoot is the highest level shotgun match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) and consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire. The Shotgun World Shoots are held triennially on a rotational cycle with the other two main IPSC disciplines Handgun and Rifle.
