The 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament was a List A cricket competition that took place in Afghanistan from 10 to 19 August 2017. It was the first edition of the competition to be played with List A status, following the announcements by the International Cricket Council The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. Headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, its members are 108 national associations, with 12 Full Members and 96 Associate Members. Founded in 1909 as the ' ... (ICC) in February and May 2017. Afghanistan Cricket Board
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB; ps, د افغانستان کرکټ بورډ, fa, کرکت بورد افغانستان; formerly Afghanistan Cricket Federation) is the official governing body of cricket in the Afghanistan. It is Afghanistan's representative at the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was an associate member of ICC from June 2013 until becoming a full member in June 2017. Before that it was an affiliate member and has been a member of that body since 2001. It is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council. Khost City
Khōst ( ps, خوست) is the capital of Khost Province in Afghanistan. It is the largest city in the southeastern part of the country, and also the largest in the region of Loya Paktia. Bismillah Jan Shinwari (born 17 March 1984) is an Afghan cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament and the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament in Afghanistan. He stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe on 5 February 2018. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe on 11 February 2018. Bomb blast On 3 October 2020, a car bomb attack in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, killed 15 people and wounded 30 others. Noor-ul-Haq Malekzai (born 2 April 1993) is an Afghan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls leg break. Noor started representing Afghanistan in age group cricket, which culminated in the Afghanistan Under-19 cricket team qualifying for the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand, for the first time in their history. This followed on from a successful 2009 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier where he scored 216 runs at a batting average of 54.
