2017 German Darts Masters (European Tour)
The 2017 German Darts Masters was the second of twelve PDC European Tour events on the 2017 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Sparkassen-Arena, Jena, Germany, between 15–17 April 2017. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion, having beaten Peter Wright 6–4 in the final of the previous edition, and he defended his title by defeating Jelle Klaasen 6–2 in the final. Ian White (darts Player)
Ian White (born 17 August 1970), nicknamed Diamond, is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. White is the winner of 13 PDC ranking events, and has reached many quarter-finals in majors. In 2019, he reached his first major semi final. Career In 1997, White reached the final of the PDC's revived News of the World Darts Championship. He defeated Des Byrne, Gary Spedding, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins on the way to the final, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor. Robert Owen (darts Player)
Robert Owen (born 23 September 1984) is a Welsh professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was a British Classic Champion. Career Owen reached the Quarter Finals of the 2017 Dutch Darts Masters after defeating Jamie Bain, Cristo Reyes and Simon Whitlock, but was narrowly defeated in 6-5 by Michael Smith. Daryl Gurney (born 22 March 1986) is a Northern Irish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Gurney is a winner of two majors, having won the World Grand Prix in 2017 in his native Ireland, and the Players Championship Finals in 2018. Ronnie Baxter
Ronnie Baxter (born 5 February 1961) is an English former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He used the nickname "The Rocket" for his matches. Baxter was known for his fast robotic throwing action. He currently resides in his hometown Blackpool. Baxter is widely regarded as one of the best players never to have won a major TV title. Cristo Reyes Torres (born 30 July 1987) is a Spanish darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career In October 2014, Reyes bested a field of 154 players to win the Iberian Qualifier for the 2015 PDC World Championship, sealing his place in the draw by whitewashing Jose Rodriguez 6–0 in the final. Stephen Bunting
Stephen Bunting (born 9 April 1985) is an English professional darts player who competes in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Nicknamed The Bullet, Bunting won the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship and is a twice former World Masters champion. Darts career Beginnings Bunting won both the British Teenage Open and the World Youth Masters in 2001 and also captured the WDF Europe Youth Cup in 2002. Steve West (born 5 June 1975) is an English darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. He is the younger brother of 2003 World Master Tony West. BDO career West showed signs of a promising career quickly by reaching the final of the 2005 French Open, losing to local Dominique le Roy.
