2017 Formula One Season
The 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 71st season of Formula One motor racing. It featured the 68th Formula One World Championship, a motor racing championship for Formula One cars which is recognised by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. Teams and drivers competed in twenty Grands Prix—starting in Australia on 26 March and ending in Abu Dhabi on 26 November—for the World Drivers' and World Constructors' championships. Force India Formula One Team Limited, commonly known as Force India and later Sahara Force India, was a Formula One racing team and constructor based in Silverstone, United Kingdom, with an Indian licence. The Ferrari SF70H is a Formula One racing car designed and constructed by Scuderia Ferrari to compete during the 2017 Formula One season. The car was driven by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen. Since the start of the Formula One season, drivers have to choose an available starting number before entering their first Grand Prix. Drivers carry this number throughout their Formula One career. Since its inception in 1947, Formula One has used a variety of engine regulations. "Formulae" limiting engine capacity had been used in Grand Prix racing on a regular basis since after World War I.
