2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour
The 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour was the global elite professional beach volleyball circuit organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) for the 2017 beach volleyball season. The 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Calendar comprised three FIVB World Tour 5-star tournaments, two 4-star, four 3-star, four 2-star and six 1-star events, the World Championships and the World Tour Finals, all organised by the FIVB. FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour
The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour (known between 2003 and 2012 as the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour for sponsorship reasons) was the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organized by the ' ( FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The World Tour was introduced 1989 for men and in 1992 for women being held yearly since then until 2021. Several tournaments were staged throughout the year. All athletes who competed in the qualifying and main draws of the tournaments earned points in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings, and after the last stage the pair that accumulated the most points during the year was declared the champion of the World Tour (only points from 75% of the tournaments in the season were considered for the ranking). Viacheslav Borisovich Krasilnikov ( rus, Вячеслав Борисович Красильников, , vʲɪtɕɪˈslaf krɐˈsʲilʲnʲɪkəf; born 28 April 1991) is a Russian beach volleyball player. Krassilnikov finished fifth in the 2009 World Youth Championship in Alanya with Artyom Kucherenko. In 2012, he played his first Grand Slam on the World Tour with Ruslan Bykanov in Moscow. Sam and his brother Ben O'Dea represented New Zealand at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where they won the bronze medal in the Beach volleyball at the 2018 Commonwealth Games – Men's tournament, men's pair competition. Damien Schumann
Damien Schumann (born 12 November 1987) is a male beach volleyball player from Australia. He represented Australia at the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, both with teammate Chris McHugh, winning the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. Christopher "Chris" McHugh (born 31 August 1989) is a male beach volleyball player from Australia.
