2017 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships
The 6th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, was held in Indianapolis, United States. The championships were for girls aged 14–17 and boys age 15–18. Over 600 athletes from 90 different countries competed at the Championships. Host selection Hosting rights were originally awarded to Budapest, Hungary, but they decided to withdraw since they were already hosting the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. Budapest is scheduled to host the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships. Host city Indianapolis has previously hosted U.S. Olympic Trials 4 times since 1982. Venue The event was held at the Indiana University Natatorium, which is best known for hosting the 1987 Pan American Games. The pool is on the campus of Purdue University. Carson Foster
Carson Foster (born October 26, 2001) is an American competitive swimming (sport), swimmer. He is a three-time gold medalist at the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, 2019 World Junior Championships and a two-time silver medalist at the 2017 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, 2017 World Junior Championships. He also represented the United States at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in 2018. Daniel Martin (swimmer)
Daniel Cristian Martin (born 5 October 2000) is a Romanian competitive swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. He collected a total of seven medals in a junior international tournament, spanning the Youth Olympic Games, the World Championships, the European Championships, and the European Youth Olympic Festival. Additionally, Martin posted his own personal best of 53.52 to force a two-way tie for a golden finish and a meet record with Russia's Kliment Kolesnikov at the 2018 European Junior Swimming Championships in Helsinki, Finland. He participated at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, winning a medal.
