2017 FIA Formula 3 European Championship
The 2017 FIA Formula 3 European Championship is a multi-event motor racing championship for third-tier single-seat open wheel formula racing cars that is held across Europe. The championship featured drivers competing in two-litre Formula Three racing cars which conform to the technical regulations, or formula, for the championship. It was the sixth edition of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The season saw the début of the Dallara F317 chassis package. Although it is only an aero-upgraded F312 chassis, the F317 was built as a replacement for the aging F312 chassis package which débuted in the first season of the championship back in 2012. Prema Powerteam successfully defended the teams' championship for the fifth time in row. While the drivers' and rookies' title was secured with two races to spare by Carlin's driver Lando Norris. After one season of the FIA Formula 3 International Trophy, the FIA revived the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The ten-event season included seven Formula 3 Euro Series rounds, two British Formula Three rounds and DTM-supporting round at Brands Hatch. From 2013, the series started running its own rounds, based upon the defunct Formula 3 Euro Series. In 2019, the series merged with the GP3 Series to form the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and was due to relaunch as the Formula European Masters and run in support of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. The championship was cancelled ahead of its debut season due to lack of competitors. The championship would have used the current spec cars and were working with Dallara to design a new car for 2020. Keyvan Andres Soori (born 8 March 2000, in Cologne, Germany) is a German-Iranian racing driver. Career Karting Keyvan Andres Soori started his racing career in karting in 2011. He competed in the Minimes class of the regional Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur championship. The eleven-year-old also competed in the French Bridgestone Cup. The following year the young German driver joined the Kerpener Kart Challenge in the KF3 class placing fifth in the championship. is a Japanese racing driver who most recently raced for Virtuosi Racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. He is the 2019 Euroformula Open champion. Jüri Vips (born 10 August 2000) is an Estonian professional racing driver, currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. He is the 2017 ADAC Formula 4 champion, and formerly a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Career Karting Vips was born in Tallinn and began competitive karting in 2011 in his native Estonia. Petru Gabriel Florescu (born 4 January 1999 in Bucharest) is a Romanian racing driver. Career Petru made his karting debut in 2007, aged 8.
