2017 F4 Japanese Championship
The 2017 F4 Japanese Championship was the third season of the F4 Japanese Championship. It began on 7 April in Okayama and finished on 12 November on Twin Ring Motegi after seven double header rounds. Ritomo Miyata defended his drivers' title successfully, continuing with TOM'S Spirit. Teams and drivers The teams were announced on 11 March 2017. Race calendar and results All rounds were held in Japan and were part of the Super GT events. Championship standings Only the best thirteen results counted towards the championship. Points were awarded to the top 10 classified finishers in each race. No points are awarded for pole position or fastest lap. Ritomo Miyata
(born August 10, 1999) is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in Super Formula for Kuo Vantelin Team TOM'S and Super GT for TGR Team WedsSport Bandoh. He is a 2 time Japanese F4 champion and the 2020 Super Formula Lights champion. Early and personal life Miyata is a graduate of Yokohama High School. His name comes from the Fiat Ritmo, named as such by his parents as they were car enthusiasts. He was diagnosed with autism early in his childhood and was unable to adjust to school life during his kindergarten and elementary schooling years, spending much of his early life receiving counseling at various hospitals; he uses racing as a method of subduing his symptoms. Miyata is an avid gamer, bringing his computer and consoles to races. Career Miyata started his motorsport career in karting in 2004, in which he remained active until 2015. Miki Koyama
is a Japanese people, Japanese List of female racing drivers, female racing driver. She is currently competing in the 2022 Formula Regional Japanese Championship, 2022 season of Formula Regional Japanese Championship, where she prematurely clinched the title with three races to spare. Biography Having started racing in karts, Koyama attended the Formula Toyota Racing School before moving to Japanese F4 in 2015. In 2019, Koyama was announced as one of the 18 permanent drivers for the 2019 W Series, inaugural season of the W Series (championship), W Series. At the first W Series round at Hockenheim, Koyama qualified 17th and finished 7th after setting the fastest lap of the race. During the remainder of the season, Koyama earned three more points finishes en route to 7th in the championship, and was named as a returning competitor for the 2020 W Series. Suzuka Circuit
The , more famously known as the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka, Mie, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda, Honda Motor Co, Ltd. Fuji Speedway
is a motorsport race track standing in the foothills of Mount Fuji, in Oyama, Suntō District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was built in the early 1960s. In the 1980s, Fuji Speedway was used for the FIA World Sportscar Championship and national racing. Originally managed by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Fuji Speedway was acquired by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2000. The circuit hosted the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix in 2007 after an absence of nearly 30 years, replacing the Suzuka Circuit owned by Honda.
