2017 Euro Beach Soccer League
The 2017 Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL) was the 20th edition of the annual, premier European competition in beach soccer contested between men's national teams, in a league and play-off format. This season teams continued to take part in two divisions, the top tier (Division A) and the bottom tier (Division B). Twelve teams continued to contest Division A as in recent seasons, consisting of the top eleven finishers from last year plus Azerbaijan who were promoted to the top tier. Division B was expanded to accommodate fifteen nations; the thirteen nations which did not gain promotion from last season, Lithuania who made their debut, plus Romania who were relegated from the top tier. No nations returned to the tournament after an absence from competing in recent years. This season, in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the competition, additional matches were scheduled for a total of five ''stages'' of fixtures during the regular season. The 2016 Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL) was the 19th edition of the annual, premier European competition in beach soccer contested between men's national teams, in a league and play-off format, taking place between 1 July and 28 August 2016. This season a record 26 teams took part in two divisions. Twelve teams continued to contest Division A as in recent seasons, consisting of the top eleven finishers from the previous year plus Romania who were promoted. Whilst Division B was expanded to accommodate fourteen nations; those who did not gain promotion from the previous season, returning and debuting nations, plus Hungary who were relegated from the top tier. This season there were three ''stages'' of fixtures. Each team from Division A played in two stages whilst each team from Division B played in one, earning points for the overall league tables. 2011 Euro Beach Soccer League
The 2011 Euro Beach Soccer League (''EBSL'') is an annual European competition in beach soccer. The competitions allows national teams to compete in beach soccer in a league format over the summer months. Each season ends with a Superfinal, deciding the competition winner. There are seven teams participating in two divisions in each Stage (there are four Stages) that will face each other in a round-robin system. Division A consists of the 8 top teams in Europe based on the BSWW European Ranking. Division B consists of the lower ranked teams and new entries to the competition. Each division has its own regulations and competition format. Each team competes in two preliminary events to see their points obtained accumulated into an overall ranking that will determine the teams that qualify for the Superfinal. Yuri Krasheninnikov
Yuri Yuryevich "Krash" Krasheninnikov (russian: Юрий Юрьевич Крашенинников; born 19 December 1984) is a Russian beach soccer player currently active as defender. He is Merited Master of Sports of Russia. Career Krasheninnikov graduated from the public school Nr. 453 in Vyborg Rayon. One of his first coaches was Vyacheslav Ivanovich Bulavin. He started playing for the association football club Zenit. He finished the football school Moscow Outpost, there his coach was Dmitry Yuryevich Stepannikov. Krasheninnikov played for beach soccer clubs including TIM and IBS. Since 2009, he plays for his national team, winning with them numerous trophies. Two years later he joined Lokomotiv Moscow, and since 2014 he plays for Kristall. Krasheninnikov played for the Brazilian Corinthians at the 2012 Mundialito de Clubes. Aleksey Sergeyevich Makarov (russian: Алексей Сергеевич Макаров; born 20 August 1987) is a Russian beach soccer player currently active as a forward. Career Makarov began his professional beach soccer team in the FC Strogino club. For a short period he played for FC Delta Saratov in 2010, but then switched to Lokomotive Moscow where he has been playing since 2010. His first coach was Aleksey Grishin. Makarov debuted for the national team in the qualifying rounds of the 2007 Euro Beach Soccer League. Makarov played for Lokomotive from 2010 to 2018. He switched to Spartak Moscow in 2018. The Portugal national beach soccer team represents Portugal in international beach soccer competitions, and is controlled by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), the governing body for Portuguese football.
