2017 Clemson Tigers Football Team
The 2017 Clemson Tigers football team represented Clemson University during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers were led by head coach Dabo Swinney in his ninth full year and tenth overall since taking over midway through 2008 Clemson Tigers football team, 2008 season. They played their home games at Memorial Stadium, Clemson, Memorial Stadium, also known as "Death Valley", and competed in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Dabo Swinney
William Christopher "Dabo" Swinney (; born November 20, 1969) is an American football coach, currently serving as the head coach at Clemson University. Swinney took over midway through the 2008 season, following the resignation of Tommy Bowden. Swinney has led them to national championships in 2016 and 2018, and trails only Frank Howard for the most wins by a head coach in Clemson history. On September 8, 2022, Swinney signed a new contract extension that keeps him the head coach of the Clemson Tigers through the 2031 football season and pays him $115 million over the duration of the contract. Todd Bates (American Football)
Todd Bates (born March 12, 1983) is an American football coach and former defensive end who is currently the co-defensive coordinator and defensive tackles coach at the University of Oklahoma. He previously served as the defensive tackles coach and recruiting coordinator at Clemson University from 2018 to 2021 Bates has established himself as one of top college football recruiters in the country, winning the Rivals Recruiter of the Year award in 2019. Brandon Streeter (born January 1, 1977) is an American football coach and former player who was most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Clemson University. He had previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Richmond, Liberty University and Charleston Southern University. Streeter played college football at Clemson University as a quarterback from 1995 to 1999 and has been an assistant coach at Clemson since 2015, having served as quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator from 2015 to 2019 and passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2020 to 2021. The Boston College Eagles football team represents Boston College in the sport of American football. Michael Jerome Reed (born August 16, 1972) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the special teams coordinator and cornerbacks coach at Clemson University. He previously served as an assistant coach at North Carolina State University, Philadelphia Eagles, University of Richmond and Kiel Baltic Hurricanes. Robbie Caldwell
Robbie Caldwell (born January 26, 1954) is a retired American football coach, and previously served as the offensive line coach for Clemson University. Caldwell was formerly the head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores football team. He has also been an assistant coach at Furman University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Vanderbilt University. On February 2, 2011 Clemson University named Caldwell offensive line coach to replace the retiring Brad Scott. Danny Pearman
Danny Pearman (born February 7, 1965) is an American college football assistant coach at Clemson University, serving as the director of scouting under head coach Dabo Swinney. Playing career Pearman played college football at Clemson University under Head Coach Danny Ford. He would letter at Tight End for the 1985-1987 seasons.
