Campeonato Mineiro
Campeonato Mineiro is the state football league of the state of Minas Gerais and is controlled by the Minas Gerais Football Federation FMF (Federação Mineira de Futebol). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte. Before the stadium's inauguration América and Atlético were the most successful teams in the state, but after the construction of the Mineirão, known as the "Era Mineirão" ("Mineirão Era"), another team from the capital, Cruzeiro, also gained prominence. Atlético is the most successful team in the competition, having won 47 championships as of 2022, trailed by Cruzeiro with 40 championships. Rafael Augusto Sóbis do Nascimento (born 17 June 1985) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Before joining Ceará, Sóbis played for Internacional, Real Betis, Al-Jazira, Fluminense and Tigres UANL. He won the Copa Libertadores with Internacional, and was a runner-up with Tigres in 2015. Flávio Augusto do Nascimento (born 29 June 1986 in Bossoroca RS), commonly known as Flávio Caça-Rato or simply Caça-Rato ( en, Rat Catcher), is a Brazilian footballer who last played as a forward for Decisão. Personal drama When Caça Rato was 8, his father came home drunk and tried to hang him. When he was almost being hanged his uncle saved him. Caça-Rato was also shot twice on 1 August 2010 in the town of Campina Barreto, Pernambuco. The incident took place during a party after a Timbauba match — the team he played for at the time. Ronieli Gomes dos Santos (born April 25, 1991), better known as Roni is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a striker for URT. Career 19-year-old Ronieli was a surprise inclusion in São Paulo's 2008 Libertadores Cup campaign where he was given the number 16 shirt. He has been widely tipped to be as great as some of the biggest strikers to emerge from Brazil including Ronaldo and Pelé and he has been likened to AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato. Ramón Darío Ábila (born 14 October 1989) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Colón. He is commonly known by the Argentine media as "Wanchope."
