2017 Bolivarian Games
The 2017 Bolivarian Games, officially the XVIII Bolivarian Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from 11–25 November 2017, in Santa Marta, Colombia. Host city selection Ciudad Bolivar (Venezuela) and Santa Marta (Colombia) were the cities which decided to bid for hosting the Games. However, only Santa Marta submitted the official candidacy and later selected by ODEBO to host the 2017 Bolivarian Games. Mascot The mascot for these games was Ajaytuké, a sea urchin. The reason behind the choice of the mascot by the organizer is to convey the message to protect the animal and coral reefs. Santa Marta
Santa Marta (), officially Distrito Turístico, Cultural e Histórico de Santa Marta ("Touristic, Cultural and Historic District of Santa Marta"), is a city on the coast of the Caribbean Sea in northern Colombia. Track Cycling
Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles. History Track cycling has been around since at least 1870. When track cycling was in its infancy, it was held on velodromes similar to the ones used today. These velodromes consisted of two straights and slightly banked turns, though they varied more in length and material than the modern 250m track. Ana María Rendón Martínez (born March 10, 1986) is a Colombian recurve archer. She has competed in the Olympic Games three times and is a two-time gold medalist at the Pan American Games. Career 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Rendón finished her ranking round with a total of 647 points. This gave her the 10th seed for the final competition bracket in which she faced Elena Tonetta in the first round. Trampolining or trampoline gymnastics is a competitive Olympic sport in which athletes perform acrobatics while bouncing on a trampoline.
