Archery World Cup
The Archery World Cup is a competition, started in 2006, organized by the World Archery Federation, where the archers compete in four stages in four countries and the best eight archers of each category (from 2010, four archers during 2006-09) advance to an additional stage to contest the Archery World Cup Final. This form of competition was introduced following the success of the 2003 World Archery Championships in New York and the 2004 Summer Olympics with the intent of making the sport more popular and attractive to spectators, with the matches being held in 'spectacular' locations and the final matches being broadcast online. It has received plaudits for its innovative approach to the sport, raising its profile and reach. David Pasqualucci
David Pasqualucci (born 27 June 1996) is an Italian competitive archer. He won a silver medal in the men's team recurve at the 2015 World Championships, and also competed as a member of Italy's archery squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He currently trains under the tutelage of his coaches Fabio Pivari and Wietse van Alten, a Sydney 2000 Olympian from the Netherlands, for the Italian team, while shooting at the Tempio di Diana Archery Range ( it, Arcieri del Tempio di Diana) in Rome. Pasqualucci rose to prominence in the international archery scene at the 2015 World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. There, he and his compatriots Michele Frangilli and Mauro Nespoli, both of whom came as reigning Olympic champions from London 2012, capture a silver medal in the men's team recurve to secure a full quota spot for Rio 2016, despite losing the title 0–6 to the South Koreans. Alejandra Valencia Trujillo (born 17 October 1994) is a Mexican archer. Career She won two gold medals the 2011 Pan American Games — women's team and women's individual. She won bronze at 2011 World Archery Youth Championships recurve cadet women's individual. Olympic Games Valencia competed both in London 2012 and in Rio 2016. In London, at the age of 17, she lost the 1/16 eliminations in the individual competition, while Mexico was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the women's team competition against Japan. Kang Chae-young (Hangul: 강채영, born 8 June 1996) is a South Korean archer competing in women's recurve events. She has won numerous medals in archery competitions. Career At the 2017 Summer Universiade held in Taipei, Taiwan, she won the gold medal in the women's individual recurve and women's team recurve events. In the same year, she also won the gold medals in the team and mixed team events at the 2017 World Archery Championships held in Mexico City, Mexico. Choi Mi-sun (; born 1 July 1996) is a South Korean professional recurve archer. She won gold medal in the women's team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She has won a career total of four medals (one gold, two silver, and one bronze) in a major international competition, spanning the Summer Universiade, the World Championships, and the Summer Olympics. Ksenia Vitalyevna Perova ( rus, Ксения Витальевна Перова, , ˈksʲenʲɪɪ̯ə pʲɪˈrovə; born 8 February 1989 in Lesnoy, Sverdlovsk Oblast) is a Russian female archer. Ren Hayakawa
is a Japanese archer of South Korean descent who won a bronze medal in the women's team event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Early and personal life Hayakawa was born Um Hye-ryeon (hanja:) in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. She competed in archery in high school and was later a member of a professional team, though she never qualified for the South Korean national team. Chang Hye-jin
Chang Hye-jin ( ko, 장혜진; or ; born 13 May 1987) is a South Korean former recurve archer. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Chang was the Olympic champion in both the women's individual and women's team events at 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She is also a former number one-ranked recurve archer, having headed the World Archery Rankings between 2017 and 2019. After being introduced to archery at the age of eleven, Chang made her international debut in 2008. Ki Bo-bae (Hangul: 기보배; or ; born February 20, 1988) is a South Korean recurve archer and three-time Olympic gold medalist. She was the winner of the women's team and women's individual events at the 2012 Summer Olympics and of the women's team event again at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she also took bronze in the individual competition.
