2017 American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game
The 2017 American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game was held on Saturday, December 2, 2017. This was the third year that the AAC Championship game is played. The game was a rematch of the September 30 matchup, which UCF won 40-13. Teams Memphis The Memphis Tigers football team is a member of the American Athletic Conference in its West Division. They represented the West Division in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game. The Tigers entered the game 10–1 (7–1 in The American), their only loss coming at the hands of UCF back in September. Spectrum Stadium
FBC Mortgage Stadium (formerly known as Bright House Networks Stadium and Spectrum Stadium, also known as the Bounce House) is an American football stadium located in Orlando, Florida, United States, on the main campus of the University of Central Florida. It is the home field of the UCF Knights football, UCF Knights of NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, NCAA Division I FBS college football. 2013 UCF Knights Football Team
The 2013 UCF Knights football team represented the University of Central Florida in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Knights were members of the American Athletic Conference (The American), and played their home games at Bright House Networks Stadium on UCF's main campus in Orlando, Florida. The Knights were led by head coach George O'Leary, who was in his tenth season with the team. The 2013 season marked UCF's first as a member of the American Athletic Conference. The Knights were previously members of C-USA from 2005 to 2012, the MAC from 2002 to 2004, and were an independent from 1996 to 2001. UCF was originally barred from postseason play for the 2012 season due to recruiting violations in both football and basketball under previous athletic director Keith Tribble. Anthony Miller (born October 9, 1994) is an American football wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Memphis. Early years Miller attended Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tennessee, where he played football and ran track for the Purple Wave athletic teams. Tre'Quan Smith (born January 7, 1996) is an American football wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UCF. Early years Smith attended Village Academy High School in Delray Beach, Florida. He did not start playing football until his freshman year in high school. Matthew Wright (born March 22, 1996) is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. Wright is known for breaking the Jacksonville Jaguars' 20-game losing streak, when he scored two fourth quarter field goals, including a game-winning 53 yarder in an NFL International Series game against the Miami Dolphins in London. Adrian Killins, Jr. (born January 2, 1998) is an American football running back for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. He played college football at UCF. Early life and high school Killins was born and grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida and attended Mainland High School, where he played football and ran track. Killins was a two-time state champion in the 200 meters and was the runner-up in the 100 meters as a senior. College career Killins was a member of the UCF Knights for four seasons. Tony Randall Pollard (born April 30, 1997) is an American football running back for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). Jordan Nikemian Akins (born April 19, 1992) is an American football tight end for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UCF. Early years Akins graduated from Union Grove High School in McDonough, Georgia. He earned All-State honors as both a junior and senior, as well as All-Conference as a sophomore. He committed and signed to play football for the UCF Knights, choosing the Knights over schools such as LSU and Georgia.
