2016–17 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represented Wake Forest University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Demon Deacons were led by third-year head coach Danny Manning. The team played their home games at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 19–14, 9–9 in ACC play to finish in tenth place. Danny Manning
Daniel Ricardo Manning (born May 17, 1966) is an American college basketball coach and former professional player who is the Associate Head Mens Basketball Coach at the University of Louisville. Manning played high school basketball at Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, and played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 14 years. After retiring from professional basketball Manning became an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Kansas. He won the national championship with the Jayhawks in 1988 as a player, and again as an assistant in 2008. He is the all-time leading scorer in Kansas basketball history with 2,951 points. The 2015–16 NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wolfpack were led by fifth year head coach Mark Gottfried. The team played its home games at PNC Arena and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). They finished the season 16–17, 5–13 in ACC play to finish in 13th place. They defeated Wake Forest in the first round of the ACC tournament to advance to the second round where they lost to Duke. Mahwah is the northernmost and largest municipality by geographic area () in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. East Carolina Pirates Men's Basketball
The East Carolina Pirates men's basketball team represents East Carolina University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the American Athletic Conference. The Pirates are coached by Mike Schwartz. History Basketball became the first intercollegiate sport at East Carolina, beginning with the 1931–1932 season. The Pirates joined the NAIA North State Conference in 1947, winning the conference title in 1953–54 and appeared in the NAIA National Tournament two years in 1953 and '54, winning two district titles before losing in the first round of the national finals.
