2016–17 Tennessee Lady Volunteers Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2016–17 college basketball season. The Lady Vols, led by 5th year head coach Holly Warlick, play their games at Thompson–Boling Arena and were members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 20–12, 10–6 in SEC play to finish in fifth place. They lost in the second round of the SEC women's tournament to Alabama. They received an at-large to the NCAA women's tournament where they defeated Dayton in the first round before losing to Louisville in the second round. Holly Warlick
Frances Hollingsworth "Holly" Warlick (born June 11, 1958) is an American college basketball coach who was head coach for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers. She replaced head coach Pat Summitt prior to the 2012–13 season and held the position until the end of the 2018–19 season. Warlick was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. Playing history Born Frances Hollingsworth Warlick in Knoxville, Tennessee, Warlick played for Tennessee under Pat Summitt where she was a three-time All-American point guard and set several school records. She was also the first player in Tennessee sports history to have her jersey retired at the end of her playing career and was named to the 1980 US Olympic Basketball Team. Warlick played in the Women's Professional Basketball League for the Nebraska Wranglers. Blackman High School
Blackman High School is a high school located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States which is operated by the Rutherford County Schools. The school was established in 2000 to complement the existing Blackman Elementary School. History Blackman High School was established in 2000 to provide a primary school for the residents living in western Rutherford County. Campus All classes at Blackman High have a minimum of one computer for every six students. Computers are available in the media center, foreign language lab, and technology lab. Each teacher at the school has a multimedia center that includes a TV, computer with TV out, computer network connection, and a printer. The Carson–Newman Eagles are the athletic teams that represent the Carson–Newman University (formerly Carson–Newman College), located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Eagles compete as members of the South Atlantic Conference for all 19 varsity sports. Carson–Newman has been a member of the SAC since 1975, when the league was still part of the NAIA. Riverdale High School is a public high school operated by the Rutherford County School system located in the southwestern part of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It is on Warrior Drive which intersects with South Church Street ( US 231 South). Edwardsville High School
Edwardsville Senior High School is a public high school located in Edwardsville, Illinois. History Edwardsville High School was first located on North Kansas Street in downtown Edwardsville. Due to the expansion of the town, a new high school was commissioned in 1921. Today, the first building is Columbus Elementary School.
